David Captures Blue & Gold Invitational Title

Morgan State's Justus David came in first in a time of 25:38.33, while Daniel Kipkorir Mutai placed third out of 117 runners in a time of 25:54.08 during Saturday morning's rainy and muddy Blue & Gold Invitational cross country meet held at White Clay Creek State Park, hosted by the University of Delaware.

As a team, the Bears placed ninth out of 14 schools with a total of 227 points. George Mason, which placed three runners in the top five, won the team title with 30 points. Host Delaware placed second with 67 points, followed by Temple (90), American (119) and Millersville (190) to round out the top five.

Morgan State will now prepare for the MEAC Cross Country Championship on Oct. 31, hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Md.
