The St. Louis Billikens defeated the Lady Pirates 65-52 on Tuesday night in Convocation Center. St. Louis (6-9) was led by Theresa Lisch who had game-highs of 24 points and five rebounds.
The Billikens shot 37.3 percent (19-of-51) for the game and 86.2 percent (25-of-29) from the line. Hampton (3-8) was limited to just 17-of-55 shooting from the field for the game.
The Lady Pirates did not get on the board until 15:17 mark in the first half when Quanneisha Perry made a basket. Hampton trailed the entire game.
Chinyere Ukoh led the Pirates with 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting from the floor and eight rebounds.
The Lady Pirates go down to Sunshine State to face Bethune ?Cookman on Saturday Jan.10 and continue conference play at Florida A&M in a Monday afternoon game. The Lady Pirates return home on Jan.17 for the first double header of the season against the South Carolina State Bulldogs.
