Utah (7-6) was led by Halie Sawyer who had game-highs of 19 points and nine rebounds.The Utes shot 51 percent (26-of-51) for the game and 61.5 percent (16-of-26) from the floor in the first half. NSU (0-9) was limited to just 13-of-56 shooting from the field for the game and scored a season-low 11 points in the opening period.NSU did not get on the board until the 10:20 mark in the first half when Danelle Tate made the second of two free throws to make the score 19-1.For Utah, Katie Whipple had 14 points, Cyndi Knight had 11 and Mandy Munns and Morgan Warburton had 10 points each.Raychele Payne led NSU with 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting from the floor.The Spartans will resume MEAC play next Saturday at Coppin State in Baltimore, Md. Tip-off is 2 p.m.
