Coppin State's Naomi Tanui established a course record and captured the individual title at the Cappy Anderson Invitational on Saturday at the Maryland Eastern Shore Cross Country course.
Tanui completed the 3.1-mile course in 18:03.49 to earn the individual championship and break the course record.
Behind Tanui, Coppin State finished eighth overall with 158 points, while Pittsburgh won the team title with 41 points.
JuaShaunna Kelly was the Eagles second runner to cross the line as she placed 25th overall in 19:45.11.
Quantikia Stepney placed 41st overall in 20:19.06, Latasha Duncan was 48th in 20:45.97 and Shanell Watson was 58th in 21:50.45 to round out the Eagle scorers.
Brandi Lane was 66th overall in 22:40.84, Trave Glenn placed 67th in 22:42.87 and Marilyn Scott finished 70th in 24:24.88.
