Dunn Paces Eagles at Cappy Anderson Invitational

Sophomore Dale Dunn finished 21st overall to lead the Coppin State men's cross country team at the Cappy Anderson Invitational on Saturday at Maryland Eastern Shore cross country course.

 

Dunn, who was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Delaware State Invitational last week, finished the 8k course in 27:24.02.

 

Behind Dunn the Eagles placed sixth overall in the team standings with 175 points. Pittsburgh won the team title with 25 points.

 

Julius Coleman continued his solid start to the season with a 36th-place finish in a time of 28:30.62. Junior Carlinton Morgan was the third CSU runner to cross the line as he placed 39th in 28:57.05.

 

Jieutonne Archer was 47th in a time of 30:10.18, Kevon Jackson placed 54th in 31:57.97 and Darron Mills was 55th in 32:48.04 to round out the Eagle scorers.

 

Also competing for Coppin State was Barsheid Bowman who was 57th in 33:08.11, Winston Whittingham placed 58th in 34:04.93, Jason Bell was 61st in a time of 35:21.25 and Aubrey Edwards who finished 63rd in 37:30.06.
