Men's Tennis 4/8/2008 4:00:00 AM MEAC Media Relations Winston-Salem State Men?s Tennis Falls To UNCG UNC-Greensboro dominated Winston-Salem State, dropping just six games all day and winning 10 of the sets by shutout on its way to a 7-0 win in men’s tennis action Tuesday afternoon as the Rams dropped their 11th consecutive match, falling to 1-21 overall in the process. UNC-Greensboro’s Arsel Kumdereli and Taylor Befus both played to perfect shutouts in singles action. Kumdereli, a sophomore from Mersin, Turkey, topped Max Glodde, 6-0 and 6-0, while Befus, a sophomore from Raleigh, NC, blanked Ian Hunter by identical 6-0 scores. UNCG also won all three doubles pro-sets by perfect 8-0 scores, completing perfect days for Kumdereli and Befus. The Rams’ most impressive performance of the day came at first singles where Brian Coxton gave UNCG ace Andrey Bubnov all he could handle in a 6-2, 6-1 loss. WSSU falls to 1-21 overall with the loss as the Rams are mired in an eleven-game losing streak. The Rams return to action on Saturday, April 12, 2008 as they travel to Tallahassee, Fla. To face the Rattlers of Florida A&M University.
