MEAC Bowling Championship To Air On ESPNU

 The 2008 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Championship will air Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. (EST). The championship final was originally played on March 23, 2008.

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Lady Hawks won their third consecutive MEAC Bowling Championship title and fourth overall with a victory over the Delaware State Lady Hornets at Sparetimes in Hampton, Virginia.

The Lady Hawks, who are ranked second in the nation, were led by freshman Krisitina Frahm. Frahm was named the Most Outstanding Performer after knocking down 754 pins in the qualifying round to average a 188.50. Sharon Brummell, the head coach for the Lady Hawks, was named the Outstanding Coach.

#11 Delaware State won the semifinal match against Norfolk State earlier today to advance to the championship match. The Lady Hornets topped the Spartans four games to one to advance.

Joining Frahm on the All- Tournament team was teammate Maria Rodriguez and North Carolina A&T’s Erica Johnson. Morgan State’s Tylencia Selph and Amanda Fogarty completed the team.
