The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams bowling team ended the 2007-08 season on a high note with some stellar performances on day two of the Holiday Collegiate Classic. The Lady Rams opened the day with four straight losses, but ended the day with a dominant win over Fontboon.
The action was slow in the beginning for the Lady Rams as the team took an 830-554 loss to Delaware State to open the day. Things heated up when they took on Florida A&M Lady Rattlers, taking an 882-684 loss in the match. The team took a hard-fought close loss to North Carolina Central, falling to the Lady Eagles, 785-770 and posted a season high team score in a an 878-859 loss to South Carolina State. With scheduled match play done, the Lady Rams went on to play Fontbonne in a positional match to end the meet. The Lady Rams ended the day with a 704-630 win in the final competition of the season.
WSSU sophomore Keisha Morrison earned team MVP honors which were give by the event hosts. She posted an individual season-high 199 in a match during the tournament. Also posted individual season bests in the tournament were Christina McDowell (223), and Allison White (191).
