The Delaware State Hornets will face the Hampton Pirates in exciting men’s basketball action on Saturday beginning at 4 p.m. The game will broadcast live on ESPN2.

The Hampton Pirates come into the game after earning their second straight win following a 68-52 victory over the N.C. A&T State Aggies. Senior guard Rashad West, who has led the team in seven of their last 10 games, scored a game high 17 points in the win. Hampton is second in conference standings with a 6-1 MEAC mark and 13-7 overall record.

The three-time defending regular-season champion Hornets enter today’s game after suffering their third MEAC loss following a, 59-64, shortfall to the league leading Morgan State Bears. Senior forward Roy Bright, who ranks second in the MEAC in scoring with 18.4 points a game, led the team in the loss with 23 points and five rebounds. The Hornets knocked off the Pirates in both meetings last year. The Hornets are 8-12 overall and 5-3 in the MEAC
