Lady Rams Go 1-4 at Morgan State Invitational

 The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams bowling team got a chance to square off against some of the best competition in the nation when they took part in the Morgan State Classic.

Among the Lady Rams’ opponents were the #1 Nebraska Cornhuskers as well as the #3 Vanderbilt Commodores. The Lady Rams took part in match play of the 31-team tournament.

When taking on the nation’s top team, the Lady Rams responded with one of their best team performances of the season, but could not match the high-powered Huskers, falling 984-827. The team faced a familiar foe next when they fell to the Norfolk State Lady Spartans, 827-690. The squad was scheduled to take on St. Paul’s who was forced into a late cancellation, the Lady Rams were credited with a 732-0 win. The squad returned in an 888-773 loss to Elmhurst before ending the day with a 969-727 loss to #3 Vanderbilt in the final match of the day.

The Lady Rams will return to action tomorrow when they take on the field in Baker games play.
