MEAC Announces Weekly Bowling Honors

 University of Maryland Eastern Shore freshman Kristina Frahm was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.

Frahm (Fr., Oswego, Illinois) knocked down 1,093 pins and averaged a 218.60 pinfall at the Delaware State Capital Classic. Frahm was named to the All-Tournament team after recording four 200-plus games out of five games played. In a non-conference win over Morgan State, she led her team with a game high 237. This is the third time this season that Frahm has earned Athlete of the Week accolades.

Other Top Performers:

Ashley Brine (CSU) rolled a season-high 233 against Kutztown at the Delaware State Capital Classic.

Karmethia Thompson (B-CU) recorded a team-high 214 in an 880-632 win over North Carolina Central and earned All-Tournament honors at the Florida A&M Releaser’s Classic.

Michelle Turnbell (DSU) averaged a 212.60 pinfall and was named to the All-Tournament team at the Delaware State Capital Classic.

Laura Zanrucha (UMES) was named to the All-Tournament team at the Delaware State Classic. Zanrucha knocked down 1,076 pins and averaged a 215.20 pinfall.
