Morgan State University’s Corin Adams and Hampton University’s Chinyere Ukoh were named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Players of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Hampton’s Jerika Jenkins earned Rookie of the Week honors, while Bethune-Cookman’s Demetria Frank earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
Adams (Guard, 5-5, Jr., Brooklyn, New York) averaged 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.5 steals during two games last week to extend the Lady Bears win streak to four. Adams scored a game-high 20 points including 4-of-5 from 3-point range and added seven assists, two blocks and four steals in a 71-70 non-conference win against LaSalle. She followed with 14 points, six rebounds and five steals and dished out four assists in a non-conference victory over Bowie State.
Ukoh (Forward, 6-3, Sr., Woodbridge, Virginia) led the Lady Pirates to their first victory of the season with a 62-54 win over Howard. Ukoh recorded her second double-double of the season and lead all players with 19 points and 22 rebounds. She was 7-of-15 (46%) from the field and 5-of-10 (50%) from the free-throw line.
Jenkins (Guard, 5-5, Fr., Lancaster, Texas) aided the Lady Pirates with 16 points, including 5-of-6 from the free-throw line in a conference win over Howard. She added two rebounds, three assists and three steals in the victory.
Frank (Guard, 5-9, So., Miami, Florida) posted 18 rebounds (13 defensive) along with nine steals in two games for the Lady Wildcats. In the victory over North Carolina Central, Frank tallied five steals and 12 rebounds. She finished with a blocked shot and four steals in a one-point loss to Florida A&M.

Ashlee Finley (HAM) tallied 10 rebounds in a win over Howard.
Erin Hawkins (MSU) recorded 13 points, including 5-of-5 from the free-throw line, along with three assists, and one steal in a win over Bowie State.
Sonia Johnson (DSU) led all players with 17 points, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, in a loss to Syracuse.
Keturah Newkirk (B-CU) tallied 24 points and knocked down seven 3-pointers in a 58-57 conference loss to Florida A&M.
Lamona Smalley (NCAT) recorded 13 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, six steals and two blocks in two games for the Lady Aggies last week.
Brittanie Taylor-James (NCAT) averaged 20 points, 11 rebounds and two steals to help the Lady Aggies to a 1-1 mark last week.
