Women's Cross Country 10/5/2008 4:00:00 AM MEAC Media Relations Chichester Leads Spartans to Victory Sophomore Jennifer Chichester ran an 18:49 to win the individual title and help the Norfolk State women's cross country team to a first-place finish on Saturday at the Spartan Invitational held on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College.NSU's next two finishers, junior Tia Miles and freshman Jamia Hutto, came in fourth and seventh, respectively. Miles ran a 19:37, while Hutto finished in 19:56.Sophomore Anastacia Limo finished eighth in 19:58 and freshman Syeeda Gee rounded out the Spartans' top five in 20:51.In all, NSU had eight runners finish in the top 20 and tallied a season-best 33 points to win the meet. Hampton (40) came in second, Virginia Wesleyan (68) was third, while fourth place went to Virginia State (92) and Virginia Union (128) took fifth.The Spartans travel to Princess Anne, Md. next Saturday to take part in the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawk Challenge.
