South Carolina State University freshman Brittney Stewart and Hampton University freshman Daniel Edmund were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the league announced on Friday.

Stewart (Fr., Warner Robbins, Georgia) led her team to a third place finish at the Citadel Invitational. Stewart completed the 5K course with a time of 19:51.73 and was ninth out of 43 competitors.

Edmund (Fr., Bowie, Maryland) paced his team for the second straight week on an 8K course and finished with a time of 27:38.00 at the Colonial Inter-Regional Cross Country Challenge.

Other Top Performers:

Krystle Medlin (Ham) led the Lady Pirates to a sixth place finish on the 6K course at the Colonial Inter-Regional Cross Country Challenge with a time of 24:40.70.
