HORNETS THIRD AT UMES HAWK INVITATIONAL

The Delaware State men’s cross country team placed four runners in the Top 20 en route to a third place finish at the UMES Hawk Invitational on Saturday.

 

The Hornets collected 76 points in the meet, trailing only first place Norfolk State (25) and runner-up MES (42). Freshman Kelli Thibou was the top Delaware State finisher for the third straight week, coming in ninth overall with a time of 27-minutes-24.97 seconds.

 

Peter Sang of UMES was the top individual finisher with a time of 25:24.77. Delaware State’s Sean Guy was 13th overall, completing the 8K course in 28:03.56. DSU’s Alan Laws was 14th at 28:06.95, while Aaron Moon rounded out the Top 20 runners for the Hornets with a time of 28:52.04, good for 18th place.
