CVU.com Honors Lady Rattlers? Blazeski As One of Its 14 Rising Stars

Florida A&M freshman Jovana Blazeski was selected as one of the Collegiate Volleyball Update’s (CVU.com) 14 Rising Stars, the organization announced yesterday.

Blazeski guided the Lady Rattlers to their seventh straight MEAC Volleyball Championship and 10th overall. The Lady Rattlers were unbeatable (8-0) in MEAC play for the 13th time in school history.

The outside hitter tallied double-digit kills in 20-of-21 games played en route to MEAC Rookie of the Year accolades. She recorded six 20-plus kill performances and two 20-plus dig outings in addition to 14 double-doubles (kills, digs). She completed the 2007 season ranked second in the MEAC in points (5.44), third in kills (4.87) and fifth in digs (3.55).

Juliann Faucette of Texas was named the 2007 CVU.com Freshman of the Year.
