Howard’s Tamaya Daniels was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Maryland Eastern Shore’s Chena Parker earned Rookie of the Week honors while Delaware State’s Thea Littlepage was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Daniels (Center, 6-2, Jr., Syracuse, New York) hit the game winning basket to lift Howard past Florida A&M, 73-72, for the Lady Bison’s first win of the season. In her second double-double of the year, Daniels scored 18 points, on 7-of-10 from the field, and grabbed 12 rebounds in the victory. She added three blocked shots and one steal in the defensive effort.
Parker (Center, 6-3, Fr., Poughkeepsie, New York) shot 69-percent from the field on 16-of-23 shooting and averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two wins for the Lady Hawks last week. Parker recorded 13 points, six rebounds, one steal and one block against American. She followed with a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds in a non-conference win over Winston-Salem State.
Littlepage (Center, 6-2, So., Upper Marlboro, Maryland) tied the school record of six blocks with four of steals and 10 rebounds (five defensive) in a win over South Carolina State. This is the second time this season that Littlepage has earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Amber Bland (NCAT) led the Lady Aggies to a 97-78 win over Morgan State with 21 points and nine rebounds.
Rachel Butler (Ham) was 9-of-12 from the charity stripe in a 73-67 win over Bethune-Cookman.
Shannon Carlisle (How) recorded 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field against Florida A&M.
Brittany Dodson (MSU) scored 16 points including three three-pointers against North Carolina A&T.
Demetria Frank (BCU) pulled down six rebounds and dished out six assists for the Lady Wildcats.
Stephanie Foster (FAMU) posted 21 points, six rebounds and three assists for the Lady Rattlers in a one-point loss to Howard.
Natasha Huntley (NSU) led the Spartans against Coppin State with 14 points, six assists and four steals.
Jalisa Issac (BCU) scored 13 points while shooting 6-of-10 from the field in a loss to Hampton.
Stephanie James (Ham) connected on seven three-pointers in a 73-67 win over Bethune-Cookman.
April McBride (UMES) tallied six points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block in a win over American.
Jenell Moore (SCSU) led all rebounders with 15 in a loss to Delaware State.
Keturah Newkirk (BCU) led her team with 18 points with 6-of-12 shots from the field and 5-of-11 from beyond the arc.
Katreem Palmer (DSU) posted her third double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds in a 50-34 win over South Carolina State.
Tiffany Reid (UMES) averaged 16 points and 5.5 rebounds in two games for the Lady Hawks.
Denise Tate (FAMU) recorded her third double-double of the season (13 points, 14 rebounds) against Howard.
Areya Walker (NSU) averaged nine points and 10.5 rebounds in two games for the Spartans last week.
