Volleyball 9/27/2007 4:00:00 AM MEAC Media Relations LADY RATTLERS EXTEND MEAC WIN STREAK TO 92 The Florida A&M volleyball team extended their MEAC win streak to 92 matches in a 3-0 win over Bethune-Cookman, broadcast live on ESPNU, Wednesday night at the Gaither Athletic Center. FAMU (3-5, 1-0 MEAC) would struggle offensively in game one winning 30-24, but would gain momentum in games two and three, winning 30-14 and 30-18. Senior outside hitter Iva Lakic led the Lady Rattlers in kills with 17, followed by freshmen sensation Jovana Blazeski with 15. Sophomore Zaira Manzo led the team in assists with 44, while Susan Egoavil finished with a game high 21 digs. Archrival B-CU (2-6, 0-1 MEAC) was paced by junior outside hitter Danielle Goodrum with nine kills, while both senior Keisha Hicks and freshman Kaiyanna Johnson finished with six kills apiece. Freshmen Julie Gibson led the team in assists with 26, while Jessica Belton finished with a team high 12 digs. FAMU will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 4 against Norfolk State in the comforts of Gaither Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
