Sam Kszepka Hired as NSU Softball Assistant Coach

Norfolk State University head women’s softball coach Kary Kankey announced Monday the hiring of Sam Kszepka as the new assistant softball coach.

"I am thrilled that Sam has joined our staff”, Kankey said. “She is very excited to get started working with the team, especially with our pitching staff. She is a proven winner, having been a

In 2006, Kszepka was the assistant varsity softball coach at Willingboro High School in Willingboro, N.J., where she also was in charge of statistics and media relations. She taught health and physical education classes at Willingboro HS from September 2004 to April 2006.

Prior to working at Willingboro HS, Kszepka was the head junior varsity coach and varsity assistant coach at her alma mater, Allentown High School in Allentown, N.J.

Kzsepka spent the summer of 2005 as the pitching coach of the New Jersey Nightmare 18 and under summer team. Her main focus was developing the pitchers and catchers.

She was the 2002 New Jersey Athletic Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a Louisville Slugger/National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association Division III third-team All-American.
