Morgan State guard Jamar Smith was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. Maryland Eastern Shore’s Denzel Jackson was named the Rookie of the Week while Norfolk State’s Larry Vickers was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week.

A solid all-around outing, Jackson shot 4-of-6 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range. He also recorded two steals in 37 minutes of play.
