The University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Bethune-Cookman bowling teams will be showcased Wednesday December 26 through Saturday, December 29 as a part of ESPNU ?s “Bowl Week”.

The #3 Lady Hawks of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) will be featured along with the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats in a re-air of the 2007 MEAC Bowling Championship. The Lady Hawks battled back and forth through a double elimination baker match with the Lady Wildcats en route to UMES’ second consecutive MEAC bowling title.

After winning the 2007 MEAC bowling crown, Maryland Eastern Shore earned their fourth straight bid to the NCAA Women’s Bowling Championship. The Lady Hawks defeated Central Missouri, , Fairleigh Dickinson and Nebraska before facing Vanderbilt in the title match. The Lady Hawks took Vanderbilt to the limit, forcing a game seven in the best of seven baker series before falling just 48 pins shy of a national championship.
