EAGLES' MCKEE TO PRESEASON MID-MAJOR ALL-AMERICA TEAM

Coppin State senior guard Tywain McKee was one of 25 players named to the collegeinsider.com preseason Mid-Major All-America Team.

McKee, who earned First Team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference honors last season, was the only player from the MEAC named to the preseason team.

The Philadelphia native led the Eagles in scoring averaging 17.4 points per game, which ranked second in the MEAC. He also became the 20th player in Coppin State history to surpass 1,000 career points when he scored 14 against Delaware State in the MEAC Tournament.

The Eagles will open their season on Nov. 9 against St. Paul's in the Hornet Roundball Classic hosted by Delaware State.
