Bethune-Cookman University’s Alexandria Condell and Norfolk State University’s Hillary Cheruiyot were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.

Condell (Jr., Queens, New York) finished in third place and led her team to a sixth place finish with a season-best time of 19:10.23 at the Flrunners.com Invite. This was the third consecutive week that Condell has finished among the top 10 this season. Cheruiyot (Jr., Eldoret, Kenya) finished first out of 42 runners and led his team to a first place finish with a time of 25:49 at the Norfolk State Invitational. This is the second time this season that Cheruiyot has earned weekly honors.




Other Top Performers:

Dominic Luka (NSU) finished among the top three at the Norfolk State Invitational.

Tamica Thomas (UMES) was third at the Norfolk State Invitational with a time of 19:56.00.
